Cải thiện chế độ vận hành hệ thống điện phân phối sử dụng UPFC bằng phương pháp Newton–Raphson trong hệ thống điện IEEE 33 nút
Abstract
The operating modes of power systems, along with the optimal power flow problem incorporating Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) devices, have received increasing attention in finding solutions to improve power quality. The Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) model is integrated into the optimal power flow formulation, demonstrating its flexible control capability over active power, reactive power, and bus voltages. Without the UPFC, the system experiences severe voltage drops and large oscillations in both active power and phase angles. Simulation results on the IEEE 33-bus system show that the installation of UPFC significantly improves bus voltage profiles, reduces power losses, and optimizes power flow distribution in the network. In addition, the Newton–Raphson method is applied to analyze the IEEE 33-bus system under short-circuit fault conditions, serving as the basis for the proposed study. This research confirms the effectiveness of the UPFC in enhancing power quality and improving the stability of power systems.
